To obtain a network engineering, network design, or software engineering position at the co-op or internship level. Also interested in research aspects of network design or similar job areas.

Computer skills

Hotline Computer Support / Repair Staff

  • Taking phone calls from Extension offices around the state of Iowa when they have problems with their computers, printers, or networks. Becoming familiar with Novell networks, as well as network protocols such as TCP/IP. On repair staff, I help troubleshoot computers that offices have sent in for repairs or upgrades.

Extracurricular activities

Team PrISUm, Iowa State University’s Solar Car Racing Team - 1995 to 1997, participated in the design, building, testing, and racing of a solar powered vehicle in Sunrayce ’97, sponsored by GM. Member of the telemetry / data acquisition team, responsible for transferring data from the car during the rayce for statistical and strategy purposes.
